Although the admission process has been conducted through the GST Admission System in the last few years, this year Jagannath University will conduct the admission test independently. Jagannath University Admission 2024-2025

The admission process at Jagannath University will be completed in several steps. First you have to submit a preliminary application online. At the time of application, you have to select your preferred unit/faculty. Separate application and application fee will be applicable for each unit. A fixed number of students from each unit will be given the opportunity to participate in the admission test from the preliminary application. A list of eligible candidates will be published and they will get a chance to participate in the written test.

If you pass the written test, you may be called for an oral test or practical test (depending on the department). The Jagannath University admission process 2024-2025 will be completed according to the following schedule.

Eligibility for Application

Different qualifications have been fixed for different units of Jagannath University Admission 2024-2025. The minimum GPA will depend on which unit you want to be admitted to and from which group you have passed SSC and HSC Level. Unit wise qualifications are given below for JNU Admission 2024-2025.

Preliminary Application

Applications will be accepted in two phases for Jagannath University Admission. First preliminary application and then final application. A short list will be published based on the preliminary application and the students in the short list will be able to apply for the final application. To apply initially, you must first go to the Jagannath University admission website. You have to fill the application form online by following the instructions given on the website. The preliminary application process is as follows:

  1. Visit the website: First visit https://admission.jnu.ac.bd
  2. Click on Apply button: Click on “Click here to Apply” button.
  3. Provide information: Provide necessary information (HSC roll, education board, SSC roll, year of pass and mobile number). The said mobile number will be used for all communication regarding admission.
  4. Click on Apply button: Clicking on “Apply” button will display the applicant’s information on the website.
  5. Verify information: Verify that the displayed information is correct.
  6. Confirmation: If the information is correct, click on “Confirmation” button.
  7. Collect password: A password will be provided to the applicant’s mobile number. Save the password for future use.
  8. Login: Click on “Click here to Login” or “Applicant Login” link and login with necessary information (mobile number and password).
  9. Unit selection: After logging in, select the unit you want to apply for. Clicking on “Click here to See Subject List” next to each unit will display the subjects of the respective unit.
  10. Application and fee payment: After applying in the respective unit, click on “Pay Now” button and pay the fee separately for each unit through bKash or Rocket mobile banking.
  11. Save payment slip: After completing the fee payment, download the payment slip from the dashboard and save it.

Application Fee Payment

The preliminary application fee for Jagannath University admission  is Tk 100 and the final application fee is Tk 700. You can use bKash or Rocket mobile banking to pay the application fee.

Procedure for payment through bKash:

  1. Select bKash menu: Click on “Pay now by bKash” menu.
  2. Provide bKash account number: Provide your bKash account number (bKash account linked mobile number) in the designated place and click on “Confirm” button.
  3. Provide Verification Code: Type the received Verification Code in the specified place and click on “Confirm” button.
  4. Provide bKash PIN: Type your bKash account PIN number in the specified place and complete the payment by clicking on “Confirm” button.

Procedure for payment through Rocket:

  1. Login to Rocket app: Login to Rocket app using your mobile number and PIN.
  2. Select Bill Pay: Select “Bill Pay” option.
  3. Select Billar: Select Billar by typing “Jagannath University Admission” or Billar ID 6677.
  4. Provide Payment ID and mobile number: Provide Payment ID. Select “self” if it is your own, select “other” option if it is someone else’s, provide mobile number and tap on “VALIDATE”.
  5. Verify information: Verify name and amount and tap “OK”.
  6. Provide PIN: Provide the PIN number of your Rocket account and hold it until it is confirmed.
  7. Verify payment summary: Verify the payment summary on the screen and tap “OK”.
  8. Save receipt: Save the receipt for future reference.

Note: After paying the application fee you will be given a receipt which may be required in future.

Eligible Candidates List

At the end of the scheduled date of preliminary application, a total of 40000 (forty thousand) candidates will be initially selected for multiple choice and written examination based on merit from among the applicants in each unit (Unit-A, B, C, D and E). Online Shortlisted candidates can be participated in the Jagannath University Admission Test 2024-2025.

Preliminary selection process

Selection based on GPA and marks: A list of eligible candidates will be prepared based on the GPA obtained in SSC and HSC examinations and the total marks obtained in HSC examination (including 4th subject).

In case of multiple candidates: If more than one candidate gets the same points/marks as the 80000th candidate, they will also be given the opportunity to participate in the admission test.

How to Check Eligible List?

Published on the website: The names and roll numbers of the fourty thousand candidates initially selected for the examination will be published on the university website (admission.jnu.ac.bd). 

Through SMS: Candidates will also be notified via SMS to the provided mobile number. Quota benefits: Among the eighty thousand candidates initially selected for each unit, the included applicants will get the benefit of quota. This condition will apply to all quotas including dependent quotas. 

Note: The date and time of publication of the list of eligible candidates will be announced on the university website and via SMS.

Final Application

Initially selected applicants have to apply for the final application. For this, the prescribed fee and some necessary information have to be submitted on the Jagannath University Admission website. The final application process is as follows:

  1. Pay fees: The applicant initially selected for the admission test has to deposit 700.00 taka + service charge as multiple choice and written admission test fee which can be deposited from 12.00 PM on December 17, 2024 to 11.59 PM on December 30, 2024 ( BST).
  2. Login to the website: Go to JNU Admission website (https://admission.jnu.ac.bd) and click on “Applicant Login” link to login with HSC and SSC roll number, mobile number and password provided to mobile number.
  3. Upload photo and signature: After login, upload a recent passport size color photo of the applicant [whose background is white 300×300 Pixel maximum 150 KB size, JPG format] and signature 300×80 Pixel.
  4. Subject preference order: The applicant has to give subject preference (Subject Choice) on priority basis/unit wise. All the subjects in the list displayed on the website have to be chosen according to priority. Choosing subjects based on priority is very important. Subject preference given by the applicant cannot be changed under any circumstances. So the admission seeking student has to arrange the subject preference order thoughtfully.
  5. Quota related information: The quota applicant has to upload the prescribed information for quota inclusion, such as: Freedom Fighter’s Child Quota (FFQ)/ Dependent Quota (WQ)/ Small Ethnic Group Quota (SEQ)/ Differently Abled (PDQ) )/ Player Quota (BKSP)/ Harijan and Dalit Quota (HDQ) should be mentioned. It should be noted that if the quota is not mentioned at the time of application, the application for quota inclusion will not be considered later.
  6. Final submission: The information provided in the filled form has to be checked again. It should be remembered that no information in the filled form can be changed after clicking on Final Submit Button. So before clicking on Final Submit Button, make sure that the form is filled correctly. After checking, if all the information is correct, click on Final Submit Button. Then print the admit card (Admit Card), keep it with you and bring it with you on the day of the exam and show it to the invigilator in the examination hall.

Download Admit Card

You can download the Jagannath University admit card 2025 for the written examination from the Jagannath University Admission Website (admission.jnu.ac.bd). The admit card will mention the date, time and venue of the examination. No candidate will be allowed to participate in the admission test without admit card. Seat Plan

The date, time and Jagannath University seat plan of the admission test of the successfully applied candidates will be informed two days before the starting of the admission test on the university website, through SMS to the mobile number provided at the time of application, newspapers and electronic media. Candidates have to appear in the examination at the designated center and designated seat. That is, you have to follow these 3 mediums to know your seat plan:

Marks distribution

The total Marks in the Jagannath University Admission is determined on the basis of multiple choice, written and marks obtained in SSC and HSC. The duration of Unit-A, B, C and D exam will be 1 hour. However, the duration of Unit-E exam will be 1 hour 30 minutes. Admission Test Marks Distribution:

Note: 

  1. Students seeking admission in Music and Drama included in Unit B and Film and Television Department included in Unit D will have to participate in a practical examination of 50 marks based on the merit list after the results of multiple choice and written examination. Must get at least 20 marks in the practical exam. Final merit list will be prepared based on the results of multiple choice, written and practical examination. Note that a fee will be applicable for the practical exam at a fixed rate. Practical exam fee and schedule will be announced later through https://admission.jnu.ac.bd website. 
  2. Instead of 48 marks written test of Unit E, 48 marks practical test will be held. Merit list will be prepared based on the results of multiple choice and practical examination.

Final Admission

For final admission you have to submit the necessary documents to the university within the stipulated time and pay the admission fee.
