SUST Admission Circular 2025 – admission.sust.edu.bd

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, has officially announced the admission Circular 2024-2025. Through this, the SUST Admission 2025 process has been started. Previously, SUST was part of the Universities Integrated Admission system (known as “Guccho”). This year, it has opted out of GST and will conduct admissions independently. This blog provides a complete roadmap for applicants, including key dates, eligibility criteria, and the application process.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates must participate in the SUST admission test. The final merit list will be prepared based on the admission test results.

• Students who passed the H.S.C. (General or Technical)/Alim/Diploma-in-Commerce/equivalent examinations in 2023 or 2024 and the S.S.C. (General or Technical)/Dakhil/equivalent examinations in 2021 or 2022 are eligible to participate in the admission test. To apply for A Unit, candidates must have a minimum GPA of 7.0 (with at least 3.0 in both HSC/equivalent and SSC/equivalent) from the Science group and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in Mathematics in HSC/equivalent (B grade for A-level). To apply for B Unit, candidates from Science, Humanities, and Commerce groups must have a minimum GPA of 6.5 (with at least 3.0 in both HSC/equivalent and SSC/equivalent).

• For GCE, candidates must have at least 5 passes in IGCSE (O Level) with at least 3 B grades and at least 3 passes in IAL (A Level) with at least 2 B grades. Diploma-in-Engineering candidates must have passed the Diploma-in-Engineering examination and the SSC/equivalent examination in 2019 or 2020. In this case, Diploma-in-Engineering candidates must submit their gradesheets/certificates and GCE candidates must submit their O Level/equivalent and A Level/equivalent gradesheets/certificates for equivalency determination along with the SSC and HSC candidates to [email protected] by January 12, 2025. After evaluating the documents, candidates will be informed whether their academic qualifications meet the admission requirements, and interested candidates must complete the online application and pay the required fees by January 25, 2025.

How to Apply?

If you are Eligible and Interested in applying, you must apply online within the mentioned timeframe. You must pay the required application fees by following the prescribed option during the online application process.

• The Online application is open from January 5, 2025, to January 12, 2025 (till midnight).
• Applicants must submit their applications online via the official website: admission.sust.edu.bd.
• After completing the application process, admit cards can be downloaded from the same portal.

The application process includes filling out the application form, uploading necessary certificates, mark sheets, and a photograph, and paying the required fees. Candidates applying for reserved seats must upload a certificate from the relevant authority with their online application.

1. Candidates can apply for both A and B units. If a candidate applies for Group-2 (A2) in A Unit, they will be considered for admission to all departments in Group-1 (A1), including Architecture (ARC).
2. To apply, candidates need to visit admission.sust.edu.bd and sign up with their HSC passing year, board, roll number, and mobile number (self or guardian’s). A User ID and Password will be sent to the provided mobile number.
3. Candidates can then sign in using the provided credentials and complete the application form with their SSC registration number, board, roll number, passing year, GPA, a scanned photograph (300×400 pixels, under 100 KB), and information related to the chosen unit and reserved seats (if applicable).
4. Upon submission, a bill/Reference Number and the payable amount will be provided. Payment instructions will be available on admission.sust.edu.bd during the application period.
5. After successful payment, the candidate’s Roll Number will be sent to the provided mobile number within 24 hours.
6. Candidates can also check their Roll Number and other information by signing in to admission.sust.edu.bd using their User ID and Password. Candidates applying for both A and B units will complete separate applications using the same User ID and Password.
7. Candidates applying for reserved seats must select the option during the online application process. They can only choose one reserved seat category.
8. Once the application is complete and the Bill/Reference Number is generated, the photograph and academic information cannot be changed.

Application Fees

A Unit (Science):

• A1 (Science only): BDT 1250.
• A2 (Science + Architecture): BDT 1400.

B Unit (Science + Humanities + Business):

• Fee: BDT 1200.

শাহজালাল বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ২০২৪-২৫ শিক্ষাবর্ষের ভর্তি পরীক্ষার তারিখ পরিবর্তন হতে পারে। এ নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করেছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভর্তি কমিটি। তিনটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভর্তি পরীক্ষার তারিখ ২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি নির্ধারণ হওয়ায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে।

SUST Admission Test Schedule

The SUST admission Test 2025 will be held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, and various educational institutions in Sylhet city. Additionally, the test will be conducted in selected educational institutions in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rangpur, and Jashore.

Important Notes:

• Dhaka centers will have limited seating capacity. Once the Dhaka center capacity is full, the option to select Dhaka as a center will be unavailable. However, the seating capacity for centers in other cities will remain open.
• The admission test for Architecture (ARC) candidates (A Unit) will be held exclusively at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet.

SUST Admit Card Download

Candidates can download their admit card by signing in to admission.sust.edu.bd. They need to print two copies of the admit card on A4 size offset paper in color. It is mandatory for all candidates to bring two copies of the admit card to the examination hall. The admit card will be available for download on the admission website (admission.sust.edu.bd) 72 hours before the scheduled exam date.

Marks Distribution
