Requirements

To Apply for the BSMRMU Admission 2024, candidates must have the following Qualifications.

(A) For Science Branch:

• Must have passed Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent from the science branch.

(B) General Requirements:

• Minimum GPA-4.00 in Higher Secondary/Equivalent.
• Minimum GPA-3.5 in Secondary/Equivalent.
• English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects are essential.
• Minimum Grade -B- in all subjects.
• Mathematics must have Grade -A- in any two of the four subjects.

(C) For English Medium Students:

• O-Level qualifications required.
• At least five subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, with a passing grade.

Note: More than two subjects with a -C- Grade will result in disqualification. In A-Level, at least two subjects, including Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, with a passing grade. More than one -C- Grade is considered disqualification.

The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University Admission is done online. To apply, use the official website applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd. Follow these simple steps:

• Visit the website applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd.
• Download and carefully read the BSMRMU Admission Notice, understanding its terms and conditions.
• Click on “Apply For Undergraduate Program” in the menu bar.
• Choose the program you are interested in after reading the advertisement.
• Create a profile and fill in the online application form with your academic information.
• Upload a photo with the correct image size.
• Complete the payment process within 72 hours using bKash, Rocket, Cash, My Cash, etc.
• Print the applicant copy on A4 size paper and keep it until the admission process is complete.

• Enter 1 for your account or 2 for others’ accounts and provide the phone number.
• Input Biller ID.
• Use APPLICATION ID as BILL NUMBER.
• Enter the amount.
• Input your Rocket account PIN.
• You’ll receive a confirmation SMS on your phone.

BSMRMU Eligible List 2024

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University will conduct the Admission Test on February 2 and 3 in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rangpur, Barisal, Sylhet, Pabna, and Khulna. Not all applicants can take the test; only a specified number of candidates are eligible. The list of eligible candidates for the admission test will be published on 18 January 2024, according to the Admission Notice. You can find the BSMRMU Shortlist 2024 on the university’s website applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd/Admission. Admit card download information will also be sent to applicants via SMS.

Only eligible candidates can download the admit card, and it is mandatory to participate in the admission test. The admission test center will be assigned based on the candidate’s preferences during the application. The shortlist is determined by the candidate’s SSC and HSC results.

BSMRMU Admit Card Download

Once you finish all the application steps, you must download the BSMRMU Admit Card 2024. It can be Downloaded from 21 January to 01 February 2024. When it’s time, go to applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd and follow these steps:

• Visit https://applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd/ and click on Student Login/Admit Card Download.
• Log in using the Applicant ID and Password received through SMS.
• If you need to recover your Applicant ID or Password, click the ‘Recover Applicant ID/Password’ link.

Remember, the Admit Card must be downloaded between 21 January 2024 at 12:00 PM to 1 February 2024 at 11:59 PM for the SMMRMU Admission Test 2023-24.

BSMRMU Seat Plan 2024

The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU) Admission Test is scheduled for February 2 and 3, 2024. The Faculty of Maritime Governance and Policy and the Faculty of Shipping Administration Unit test will take place on Friday, 2 February. The Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Unit test will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

The specific seat plan will be available on the admit card, and a separate seat plan for each unit will be released 24-48 hours before the admission test. The detailed seating arrangements will be posted on the University’s website notice board.

BSMRMU Admission Test Mark Distribution

For the written admission test, candidates need to score 100 marks. The test covers subjects from the current HSC Syllabus and the mark distribution for each program is as follows:

• BSc in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering (NAOE):
  • Mathematics: 25 marks
  • Physics: 25 marks
  • Chemistry: 25 marks

English: 25 marks

• Total: 100 marks
• BSc in Oceanography:
  • Mathematics: 20 marks
  • Physics: 20 marks
  • Chemistry: 20 marks
  • Biology: 20 marks

English: 20 marks

• Total: 100 marks

Test Duration:

The admission test will last for 90 minutes.

Final Selection:

Candidates’ final selection is based on combined marks from the written admission test (100), HSC/equivalent examination (60), and SSC/equivalent examination (40). The merit and waiting lists will be posted on the BSMRMU notice board and website.
